Wonderful meal at a comparable price. Love your LuAnn serving sizes. Clean dining area with sufficient wait staff to keep things moving. Thanks for being in the Kingwood area.

This is the worst visit i have ever had! Employees are extremely rude in the line. My neice wanted salmon she said she could not have it then proceeded to check her cell phone. My sister then needed butter went up front and the man said bery rudely you get that from the wait staff. We were ready to pay for our food but no one at the registers. Waited for someone to come and he was rude also. I will not be back to this location!!

The food is good, but the customer service I had today was terrible. My grandson and I had a great day since it is his birthday. But the frivolity came to an abrupt end, when he wanted to go to Luby’s take out section at 11023 Shadow Creek Parkway, in Pearland, Texas 77584, ) at approximately 6:45 p.m, on August 16, 2017.
I do not reside in Texas, but I am a Texan, born and raised. I came to Texas this week specifically for my grandson’s 12th birthday. When we got to the take-out counter to order, a nice looking young lady named Brandy came up, and said “What do you want?” I smiled. She did not reciprocate. I said we just wanted some vegetables. She did not respond or smile. So, I said to myself, “This woman acts as if I slapped her mother or something — She is so very curt in manner and tone.” So, I said to her that I wanted a triple order of black-eyed peas–. And before I could continue, she abruptly stated, “We don’t have any blackeyed peas now. And we don’t have any yams! Do you want a vegetable plate?” I didn’t know what to say, since I haven’t eaten at Luby’s since the 1980’s. So, my little grandson explained the procedure to me regarding vegetable plates on the menu. I placed my order, and could actually feel animosity emanating from this young woman. I guess she had a bad day, but I do not like to spend my money where I have bad service. So, I said to her, “You are not from Texas are you?” She curled a corner of her mouth, and sucked her tongue across her teeth, and asked me why I said that. I responded, “because you are not very friendly. Native Texans are just naturally friendly.” She said, “Texas are the most unfriendly people I have ever seen. The friendliest people are from Louisiana.” I said, “you are not friendly, because you attitude and tone of voice is very curt.” To which she responded, “what does that mean?” I said, “you are not kind and rude in your mannerism, and tone of voice.” In my mind, I figured she may be under-educated.

But she continued on saying that she is a very friendly person, that she has lots of friends, and they all like her. I replied that she probably doesn’t like them either, because she behaves as if she doesn’t like people.” She mumbled something, and I went to sit and wait for my order.

My grandson, started complaining, that he wasn’t expecting this, and he was sorry that he requested that I come to Luby’s because he did not expect anyone to be mean to me. However, I noticed a quick change in Brandy’s attitude toward the four of five customers after me. She was even friendly. And when my food was ready, her voice was even overly friendly to me. As I said, perhaps she was having a bad day.

But, if I hadn’t prayed for God to intervene, I would have allowed this woman’s attitude and possible bad day, to spoil my day celebrating my grandson’s birthday. Fortunately, the situation ended well, and the food was delicious when we got to the house.

So, I feel you have a training customer service issue. The employees are not doing your customers a favor for patronizing Luby’s. We can go elsewhere. So, it to their benefit to learn to smile, and explain the menu, and be glad they have employment. Even if they are having a bad day, it is not the customer’s fault. They should behave like the people at Disneyland; no matter what, they always smile and are friendly, even if they hate their day, their job, their lives and the people. They are trained to be customer friendly. And you see how much money, Disneyland makes, daily. So, you have a training issue with Brandy, and some other sour faces I saw working there today.

Just have someone drop in and see if the employees seem friendly and enthusiastic about working at Luby’s. It makes a difference when customers decide to return and eat there. Thank you.

We’ve been Luby’s Customers for many years and had been quite satisfied to very satisfied until the last few months, for which reason we’ve cut back on eating at Luby’s. It seems it has greatly diminished in preparing good quality food. Today we tried it again – and it definitely was an upset — we were very displeased, first with the very small portion of almondine fish in the LuAnn Plate, the tasteless boiled squash, the mashed potatoes which were a watery whipped consistency and tasted like instant potatoes, and to top it off even the cornbread was mushy & crumbly, not like what they used to make. Even the pico de gallo sauce was only tomato with lots of onion and hardly any jalapeno chile at all. What’s happened to Luby’s good homestyle cooking? How unfortunate that its’ gone from mediocre to bad.

Really I enjoy my visits to Luby’s, I haven’t found a better place for cooked liver & oinions, etc. I don’t usually complain but this time the food was as hot as it should have been. By the time you get to your Table my wife’s mash potatoes, & fish were cold.If a way could be found to keep the food hotter, etc. I’d enjoy my meals better, etc. Other than this, I’d give a heads up to Luby’s for a job well done! Lets see if ya’ll can serve a hotter food product from this steam/serving table. Thank you.

Take my elderly mother there at least twice a week. Her husband sometimes to I’ll to go. When I ask for 1 to go, they have an attitude. Tell me if I did not read sign, saying g no to go orsets in line. Mind you last 2 times no one in line brhond me. So now i pay 3 meals and have to pavk it myself at the table
Isiah, waiter, is the only friendly person there. He apologizes and helps me pa k my to go box. I am a retired nurse and I sm sure you would not appreciate a nurse treating your family the way nine are treated. Nor would I ever do that. If you don’t like the service industry, find something else

I have enjoyed eating at your restaurant, the food and price go hand and hand which is great. I have noticed there is room for improvement in cleaniness. The salt and pepper shakers are very dirty and the tabletops and the backs of chairs have grime on them. While the employees are sitting at the tables as they wait for someone to need something they could be doing some cleaning.
