Edline Learning Community Instructions
As the leading K-12 web hosting solution, Edline provides easy-to-use design tools for your school to create the most intuitive website for your students. You can access your school’s website from any computer with a web browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. If you want to view private information, such as grades or your personal combined calendar, or you want to post information to the website, you will need to sign in from the school home page. (You can also sign into Edline through .)
Before you sign into Edline for the first time, you will need to activate your account. You activate your account using a randomly generated, twelve-letter, single use activation code that you will receive from your school’s Edline manager (super user). You then create your own user screen name and password. Once you create a screen name and password, you type that information on your school’s web page to access your Edline website. Once you sign into Edline, you can manage your account information, use personalized shortcuts to navigate through the program, and access user guides. The following guides will help you activate your account:
- Access your school’s website from your web browser and click “Sign In”. (You can also activate your account from edline.net.).
- Click the “Sign Up” link, under New to Edline?
- Type your “Activation Code” and click “Enter”.
- Make sure the activation code is yours (your name and school will be listed) and click Activate this Code.
- Click “New Account” to create your user screen name and password if you have never created an Edline account before.
- Create your Edline sign in information.
- Configure your initial account settings.
- Click “Continue” to access the list of user guides.
While guests of the district or school website will not be able to sign into Edline, the website was designed to work just like any standard website. The community will be able to view any data opened to the public, such as event calendars, sporting event schedules, and any other content that the school deems as visible to the public. You can do the following things:
- Access the school calendar.
- Print paperwork from the website.
- View class, sports, and club sites.

The Edline Learning Community Management System (LCMS) by Blackboard Engage is used by many schools for school and class organization. The solution provides district, school and classroom level website support for administrators, parents, teachers and students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Notable features include the ability for schools to provide parents and students online access to all school functions including classrooms, sports, cafeteria, library etc. and for students and their parents to view homework, grades, attendance, progress reports, activity schedules, athletic scores, lunch menus, school news, resources and more.
